Hi, I’m Liv, a twenty-something beauty and lifestyle blogger living on the Isle of Skye in the highlands of Scotland.

I’ve run The Static Gypsy since June 2015, when I began blogging to vent about a break down of a relationship. I quickly noticed that no one actually cared about that, including me, so I moved on to my real passion – cosmetics.

Since then, I’ve added other kinds of posts like lifestyle, personal interest, and the newest addition to the blog – #LivLoves. This is a favourites feature that I’ll be updating only as and when I find something that really inspires me. It could be anything from a makeup product to a movie, book, place, anything really! And now The Static Gypsy is self-hosted, I can add more and more features to the site and really make it what I’ve always wanted it to be.

I post new features every Wednesday and Sunday at 6pm UK time. Be sure to follow me over on Instagram or Facebook for the latest info on what I’m up to! Follow the little Social Media buttons at the top of any of these pages to find me and if you fancy it, you can follow my Snapchat too (@lostmisslivia) for a little insight into my personal life and behind the scenes blog stuff.

If you’re new here, you may be thinking “why the hell is this site called The Static Gypsy?!” The short answer is that I live in a 3 bedroom static caravan and I’ve secretly always wanted to be a gypsy. Also, I adore puns and the name of my blog is not only a play on where I live, but also on the fact that generally speaking, gypsies travel a lot and I’m a total home bird – ‘static’ if you will. See, see? It’s clever right?

So, welcome to my little corner of the Blogiverse, and I hope you love it. If you want to get in touch with me or have any suggestions or comments, leave a comment on any of my posts, or find my details on the ‘Contact‘ page. Happy travelling!
