Hi, I’m Liv, a twenty-something beauty and lifestyle blogger living on the Isle of Skye in the Highlands of Scotland. I like tattoos, chocolate, decorating, and photography. I live in a caravan with my boyfriend, Dan (who you’ll see mentioned a lot) and our two cats, Lola and Violet.
I’ve run The Static Gypsy since June 2015, and after a few blog posts whining about some guy I found myself writing a beauty and lifestyle blog where I focused on things like making the most of what you have and working on a tight budget. In all my makeup tutorials I use a lot of the same products, for the simple reason that I don’t have the money to buy a product to use only once, and I think most people would agree with me!
I also post a weekly lifestyle article, detailing things like my renovation of my tiny home, and some little tips and hints for how to live in a small space, as well as other lifestyle things. Occasionally I’ll do a photography post on a Wednesday or a blogging tips post or something like that, just to entertain myself as I really love writing and photographing posts like that. Basically there’s a little something for a wide range of interests, and I hope you’ll find something you enjoy here 🙂
I post new features every Wednesday and Sunday at 6pm UK time. Be sure to follow me over on Instagram or Facebook for the latest info on what I’m up to! Click the little Social Media buttons at the top of any of these pages to find me and give me a follow if you fancy it.
If you’re new here, you may be thinking “why the hell is this site called The Static Gypsy?!” The short answer is that I live in a 3 bedroom static caravan and I’ve secretly always wanted to be a gypsy. Also, I adore puns and the name of my blog is not only a play on where I live, but also on the fact that generally speaking, gypsies travel a lot and I’m a total home bird – ‘static’ if you will. See, see? It’s clever right?
So, welcome to my little corner of the Blogiverse, and I hope you love it. If you want to get in touch with me or have any suggestions or comments, leave a comment on any of my posts, or find my details on the ‘Contact‘ page. Happy travelling!
