Last week on Twitter I started gathering questions for a Q&A post, and I got some really amazing questions. I’ve asked on Facebook before too so I’ve had plenty to choose from! I love posts like this because it really gives you a chance to get to know someone, so I’m really excited to be doing this post today. Hope you guys enjoy this post because I’ve loved answering all these questions!
Q: If you had unlimited power for one day, what would you do?
A: The first thing I would probably do is rid the world of all religion, to be honest. That might sound controversial, but in my opinion religion is the single worst man-made construct to ever have the misfortune of existing on this planet. Once I’d done that, I’d probably move onto the top 1% and the world’s fortune and sort that mess out, and then finally, make it so that nobody remembered what it was like with religion and poverty. I’m pretty sure that most other problems facing the world can be fixed if people aren’t greedy and pious.
Q: What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
A: This is super embarrassing actually, or at least it was at the time. Now I’m older and wiser it doesn’t phase me when stuff like this happens, but when I was at secondary school and first hit puberty, every single period I got would bleed through to my school trousers and leave me stuck all day long with the danger of leaving a blood stain on any surface I sat on! It was super embarrassing back then, but now I’m older I know that every single woman on the planet has gone through the same thing so it’s just a fact of life now, but at the time I was mortified!
Q: What’s your favourite pizza?
A: My favourite question! Without doubt it would have to be goats cheese and red onion chutney. It’s amazing, especially when it’s home made from scratch with loads of goats cheese on it!
Q: What made you take up blogging?
A: I’ve started a number of blogs over the years but TSG is the only one that’s gained any traction. I love writing, and when I started TSG it was to vent about a break up that I was struggling with. In the beginning, I think it gained attention because it was a situation that so many people had been through themselves. Now I do beauty, lifestyle and other bits here and there, I love it even more because it’s a conversation starter and my readers are amazing and keep me going!
Q: Who are your favourite bloggers and why?
A: Without doubt my favourite bloggers are Carly Cristman, Maria J and Life With Maria (funny how there’s two Marias isn’t it?) What I love about these amazing bloggers is that they clearly work so so hard on their content. Everything you read or watch from them is so genuine and down to earth, even if it’s not an every-day situation! (Carly Cristman on L’Oreal’s private jet for example, but she does it with such sass!) It’s the combination of really hard work, pride in that work, and being such genuine people that makes these ladies my favourite bloggers by a long shot.
Thanks to everyone who sent in questions! I had so much fun answering these and seeing what people actually want to know about other people!
