Well, it’s been a while hasn’t it? In fact, I don’t think I’ve done a Blogspiration post since my new blog design launched so I’m super excited to be bringing you guys a totally new kind of blog that until recently, I didn’t even know existed.

Olivia’s New Life is a fictional blog run by an anonymous creator who effectively is using blogging platforms as a new form of fiction writing. I don’t know why I never thought about there being such blogs before, but needless to say, this blog has been a revelation and I love the idea of blogs being a new platform for fiction writers. Since the creator of this blog wants to be anonymous online, we shall refer to the author and blog character as one and the same and therefore as Olivia (my Sunday name as it happens, which is another huge plus).

So the basic idea of this amazing blog is that the protagonist, Olivia Adele, is a single mother in her 30s whose decided to overhaul her life and train to become doctor. She goes to medical school, facing all the same struggles and stresses of any student, as well as trying to live a succesful life as a single mum and single woman.

Just one of the lovely, unique illustrations. Just think of the time this all takes!

What I love about Olivia’s story is that it’s relatable even when you’re not in her position. Medical school, children and being in my thirties are not things I’ve had to deal with, but you still relate to her so well. Meeting new (or old) people, struggling to be a super woman and balance all the parts of her life at once, it’s all very much based in the reality of all modern women.

I also love Olivia’s blog for the really cute, unique art work. She does all her own illustrations and they’re beautifully done and really quirky and individual. As a fellow blogger who uses her site as a platform for her own artistic stuff, I can really appreciate the sheer level of work and patience something like that must take, and it really pays off!

There’s also a really nice vibe to Olivia’s New Life. It’s like one of those comforting Bridget Jones like reads that just rolls over you and you find yourself rooting for Olivia to find the best outcome of every situation.

It’s been a little while since a new chapter was posted on Olivia’s New Life, but I for one am waiting eagerly for it and can’t wait to see what happens next!

Have you found any fictional blogs that you love? Let me know in the comments below as I’d love to find more fiction blogging to read! And be sure to check out Olivia’s New Life blog as it really is a lovely little corner of the Blogiverse.
