Hey guys! I’ve seen so many Tweets over the last few weeks about people’s photography progress, and I love it so much, I thought I’d do a whole post to show the progress in my own photography skills over the years. I studied photography in school and actually had a few paid jobs as a teenager, so I’ve been producing images for various projects for well over ten years now. I thought it would be a fun exercise to see exactly how far I’ve come.

I started photography when I would come to Skye on holiday and wanted to capture the stunning landscape here. So here’s a handful of my earlier photos, including landscape, candid and other things,  from 10+ years ago right through to my older & current blog photography and more recent photos I’ve taken outside of blogging.

I loved looking back through all my old photos, and even found some things that I’m going to revisit with my most recent editing skills. Sometimes a photo doesn’t look like much until it’s edited, and editing is a huge part of photography. Even images that require very little adjustment can always benefit from fiddling around with it and seeing what you find. You never know when you’ll find a new edit that makes it an even better shot! Let me know in the comments if you like this kind of post and if you’d like to see more photography related pieces!

Thanks 🙂

Thank you Elfie! All the landscapes are of Skye or the surrounding Highlands yes. I still use the first camera I ever got which is a Canon 350D. An old camera but as long as you know how to use it and look after it they hardly ever lose much image quality! Thanks for reading 🙂 x
