Happy Sunday guys! I’m home from the most amazing weekend in Edinburgh and my skin is needing a little love. What better way than to reach for Frank’s shiny new face mask?!
Regular readers will know how much I adore my Frank skincare; it’s the one coffee related product that I really do love. And I was so excited when they announced the release of their new Glow Mask that I added my name to the wait list and ordered it as soon as I could. Everything I’ve had from Frank in the past has been amazing quality and really reasonably priced, so I was very hopeful about this mask.
Frank’s Glow Mask is meant to be used in the morning, after cleansing. Apply a thick layer, leave for five minutes, and rinse with cool water and it promises to give you glowing, fresh looking skin. So does it really work?
Firstly it does smell of vanilla, just as Frank say. It’s not a strong smell at all, probably because it doesn’t have a ton of chemicals in it, but it’s a nice scent all the same and I like it.
The texture of this mask is was a bit of a surprise to me – it felt a little waxy almost! You apply a thick layer and then massage it into the skin for a while before you let it sit, and it definitely felt very thick and moisturising, but I was surprised by the waxiness of it. It took quite a bit of work to get an even layer on my skin. Once I did though and left it for five minutes, it felt really comfortable and like it was doing a lot of good!
So, my first impressions were mixed on this one. I like the idea of it being just a quick boost of moisturising goodness for those mornings you need a pick-me-up, but the texture was not at all what I was expecting. When I rinsed it off the first time my skin felt lovely and smooth and fresh though, so I was happy to let the weird texture go! The next thing I had to worry about was whether or not it would make me break out, but having used it several times now, I can safely say it hasn’t and it won’t, so extra points there!
This mask definitely gives my skin a lift and a nice natural glow. It’s pretty easy to forgive the odd texture when it actually does what it promises! All in all I really like it; Frank really do make brilliant skincare. For £15.95 I think this is a really great little face mask. It’s super quick and convenient, does a good job, and as with all of Frank’s products, it’s cruelty and paraben free which is amazing. Conclusion: once again Frank nail it and this Glow Mask is another really great product from the cult coffee brand that have helped my skin unbelievably! 9/10, took one mark off for the weird waxy texture!
