Hey guys! I’m super excited to be bringing you a little blogger Q&A this week with the lovely Madolyn from Madolyn Thinks. We’ve compiled a short list of questions and have decided to answer them on each other’s blogs so that you can all see how different our answers are. So below are Madolyn’s answers, and you can find my answers on her blog 🙂
Introduce us to your blog, what can we expect to find there?
Madolyn Thinks is a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blog. I like to write about lots of different things, whether it’s a review of the latest lipstick I have been loving, an overview of a great book I have just read or a photo diary of a new place I have visited. I really enjoy writing about lots of different things keeping my content fresh and varied.
How did you get into blogging?
Once I had graduated from University I found blogging as an outlet for my writing bug. I started off mainly writing about beauty however my blog has evolved over time and I now write a lot more varied content. I had been reading lots of blogs before I decided to start writing my own. I was a little worried at first that people would judge me or laugh at me and my blog, however I have learnt that this was silly and have fully embraced the joys and benefits of the blogging community.
Are there any tips you can give to aspiring bloggers?
One thing I would say to new bloggers to write about what you want to write about. When I first started blogging I felt a lot of pressure to spend money on high end products that every other beauty blogger was writing about. However, this is not the way to be. Don’t feel pressured by what everyone else is doing, your blog is your blog and as long as you enjoy your content, that is the most important thing.
What do you like to do in your spare time when you’re not blogging?
When I’m not blogging I love spending my spare time curling up on the sofa with blankets, candles, a big cup of tea and either a good book or a film. I also enjoy spending time outside, going for walks and taking snaps of anything that catches my eye.
What are your favourite, must have beauty products?
I am a huge lover of skincare and couldn’t spend a day without applying the Triple Performing Facial Emulsion from Benefit Cosmetics. The Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray is another must have for me and it provides volume and texture without leaving my hair sticky and crispy.
