Sunday strikes again! And this week I’m reviewing a product I’ve wanted to get my hands on for a very long time!

Pixi Glow Tonic is one of those super popular beauty blogger/vlogger favourites that you can’t get for love nor money usually. However, back in December I was browsing Cult Beauty and noticed this dinky 100ml version was in stock. Given that I’ve waited about a year to get this product, I thought I’d be as well to get the smaller version and try it out before purchasing a full sized one.

The Glow Tonic has loads of great skincare ingredients in it, including 5% glycolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng. It’s also paraben and cruelty free which ticks my main boxes when looking for skincare. Since it gets such a good write up by the entire blogiverse, I’ve tested it out over the last few weeks and can now safely answer the question ‘does it live up to the hype?’

The answer is a resounding yes. Some products are exactly as good as the Internet makes out, and Pixi Glow Tonic is one such product. I’m not sure I’ve ever been so enthusiastic about a toner before. In the past, toners have sometimes seemed like a waste of time to me, but this is one that I have definitely seen the value of. And at £18.00 for 250ml, it’s a bargain if you ask me.

The one down side for me with this product is that I’m an obsessive picker. I frequently have scabs on my face from spots that I’ve picked and picked at so much that they bleed (I know, don’t judge me), and because this toner has glycolic acid in it, it stings like a mother if you’ve got any raw or recently picked areas on your skin. I suppose the upside of that is that it’s discouraging my picking habit!

While my breakouts are hormonal, I have found this toner has really helped with my overall skin tone, as well as the pigmentation of my break outs. They seem much less angry and red looking now. And given I’ve been testing it since early December, I can safely say this toner is really well suited to my skin and has made my skin so much softer as well as a more even tone. It’s also really helped to keep my pores nice and clear after trying out some different face masks to purge blackheads.

Verdict: a painful reminder to stop picking my face, but worth it in the end. My skin is calmer, more even, my pores are clearer, and it looks super cute on my bathroom shelves. For the price it’s absolutely amazing, and if you need a new toner to try, and if you can find it in stock anywhere, I highly suggest you give this one a go for yourself! 10/10, already have, and will be repurchasing again and again.

I love that they do a smaller size as the big ones a bit pricey to buy and end up not liking.. i’m glad that this toner lives up to the hype.. i’ve been looking for products that will help fade acne scarring.. i’ll defo be giving this a go

I was quite worried about that too, so the smaller size was great to test it out! So much more product than a sample as well, so I was able to get a really good idea of how I liked it. Thanks for reading and I hope you love the toner when you try it 🙂 xx

I don’t think so, it’s probably just to keep the smaller bottle looking sleek. They’re exactly the same product 🙂
