Hey guys! This week I’m hitting you with a bit of a double review of my new favourite combination of foundation and powder. I recently had 2 photoshoots after these products arrived so I tested them out on camera and w-o-w! I’ve already shared the images from one shoot, and can’t share the second shoot yet, so I took some classic selfies to show you what I mean.

I’ve not heard much about the new Mac Full Coverage Foundation which is great from my point of view because it means I didn’t have any idea what it might be like before I tried it for myself. I ordered this in NC15 which I’ve found to be a little too dark for me in other kinds of Mac foundation (really obvious with the Studio Fix liquid foundation). What’s funny though is that I’ve been NC15 since my first ever Mac foundation, and it’s only recently that I’ve started thinking maybe I need a lighter shade. There’s a few customer reviews on the foundation that say it’s too dark and not for pale girls. But let me reassure you, I am one of the palest girls that most people will ever meet, and the NC15 in the Full Coverage works perfectly for me.

I found it applies best with a damp Beauty Blender, and I just dip that straight into the product. If I’m having a good skin day then I’ll be quite light handed with it, as it really is full coverage, but for nights out and shoots etc. it’s very buildable without being too cakey. Price: £25.50. Verdict: great full coverage foundation, lovely colour, good price, would definitely buy again.

Coty Airspun Loose Powder has had a lot of attention on YouTube, so I thought I’d give it a try and see if it lived up to the hype. I got mine off Amazon, in the shade ‘Translucent’ and was amazed at the size of the tub for the price!

This face powder has been around since 1935, and the formula hasn’t changed all that much in all those years. It smells divine, applies like a dream, and bakes to perfection. I dip my Beauty Blender straight into the product to bake my under eyes and other concealed areas when I need my makeup to last and it really does keep everything from creasing or slipping. On a day to day basis, I use it with a big fluffy powder brush to lightly set my whole face and that works wonders for my daily office makeup too.

The one thing I was quite surprised by was the colour of the powder. The translucent shade I ordered is quite pink, so I wouldn’t want to use too much of it in case I ended up looking like I’d been at the gym for an hour! I can’t speak for the other shades, but certainly the transclucent is a good match for my skin, if used leniently. Price: £12.41 on Amazon UK, but the ‘Naturally Neutral’ shade is only £7.87. Verdict: bakes amazingly, applies like a cloud, feels baby soft, amazing value, my new makeup drawer essential!
